The construction of u-segment is similar to which of u-line. In addition, the Cabri Geometry II may confuse intersections of two circles or a line and a circle; there are some technical tricks.

Given:

Two points P1 and P2 in the upper half-plane.

To Construct:

The u-segment (u-arc) bounded by P1 and P2.

1.       Let m be the perpendicular bisector of P1 and P2, and let C be the intersection of m and the x-axis.
   
   
2.      Let M be the midpoint of P1 and P2 in Euclidean sense. Draw the ray  and let Q be the intersection of  and the circle with center C and radius . The final object is then the arc (semi-circle) passing through Q and bounded by P1 and P2.
